The Masked Singer's Ice King Might Be a Jonas Brother
View Date:2024-12-23 10:19:31
The Ice King could be burning up because of Ken Jeong, baby.
In a clip for the Nov. 13 episode of The Masked Singer’s 12th season, the comedian has a solid guess for who the celebrity under the Ice King costume could be: Joe Jonas.
“I’m thinking someone who could sell out arenas,” Ken posits in a clip shared exclusively with E! News. “Someone who can sing. Someone like Joe Jonas.”
The Hangover actor’s guess prompted lots of stirring in the audience as well as fellow panelists Robin Thicke, Rita Ora, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, and he continued to make his case that it could be the Jonas Brothers band member—who makes up the band along with brothers Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas.
As Ken noted that the band Hanson inspired the Jonas Brothers, he got the seal of approval from a young audience member.
“I have one person,” Ken joked as the camera panned to a young person jumping in the air. “See, I have the biggest fan right here, thank you. And I didn’t even pay him that much money!”
No matter whose identity will be left when the Ice King costume melts, the 12th season of the reality singing competition series has really started to heat up. After all, Ice King will be a part of Group C, the newest group of contestants to take The Masked Singer’s stage.
In addition to Ken’s guess, the Nov. 13 episode will see the new group of creatures perform hits like “You and I,” “Tonight, Tonight,” “Under the Bridge,” “Call Me Maybe,” and “Slow Burn.”
And while Ken’s guess is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to revealing the final identity of the season, the panelists have already made quite a bit of progress when it comes to identifying the undercover celebrities.
Indeed, Community actress Yvette Nicole Brown, actress Marsai Martin, Paula Cole, Natalie Imburglia, Andy Richter, Laverne Cox and NFL star John Elway have all been unmasked.
The latter athlete may have been the first star to be revealed, but getting on the stage at all was considered a win in his eyes.
“It was definitely not my comfort zone doing this, but I’m in retirement now,” John admitted to the panelists after his identity of the Leaf Sheep was stripped away. “I had the opportunity and took advantage of it. I had a great time. I think all the grandkids are gonna be happy to see Pappy jump out of the Leaf Sheep.”
Fans will have to wait until Nov. 13 to see if Ken’s guess is correct and Joe will be the next star to reveal himself. In the meantime, keep reading to see everyone who has been unmasked and the other creatures who still remain.
Leaf Sheep (which happens to be an actual sea animal) was revealed to be NFL Hall of Fame legend John Elway, who was sent home first.
The celebrity behind the colorful Showbird costume? Community alum Yvette Nicole Brown.
Modern Family alum Marsai Martin flew away from the competition after it was revealed she was Woodpecker.
During week three's double elimination, singer Paula Cole, who was behind the Ship costume, was also eliminated.
The man behind the pink, furry costume was comedian and actor Andy Richter, who left the competition during the Oct. 16 episode.
The Emmy-winning actress behind the Chess Piece costume was none other than Orange Is the New Black alum and E! host Laverne Cox.
Bluebell was none other than Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia, who topped the charts in 1997 with her iconic cover of "Torn."
